Dishwasher Problems
Read safe checks for standing water and drainage complaints.
Laundry problems can start in the appliance, the drain, the electrical supply, or the exhaust duct. We help figure out which.
Before you call, check that the door or lid is fully closed, the cycle and any delay-start setting are correct, and the load is not badly unbalanced. Look for a visibly kinked drain hose, and note any error code, repeated clicking, unusual vibration, or water under the machine.
Do not open the cabinet or take apart a pump or door-lock assembly. Stop using the washer if it leaks heavily, smells electrical, or keeps tripping the breaker.
A dryer that tumbles without heat may have an electrical, heating, ignition, or control fault. But restricted exhaust airflow is a safety concern that has to be ruled out first. Lint is combustible, and lint in the dryer or exhaust duct can restrict airflow, overheat the machine, and cause a fire.
If airflow is weak or blocked, stop using the dryer until the restriction is fixed. If you smell burning or see smoke, stop, leave the area if needed, and call emergency services. Never run a dryer with its exhaust disconnected. If you have a gas dryer and smell gas, leave immediately and call 911 or your gas utility.
A technician can help tell an appliance fault from a vent problem. Vent cleaning may need a separate specialist based on the ductwork.
Call if the dryer has no heat, shuts off repeatedly, makes unusual noises, smells like burning, overheats, or still dries poorly after the lint screen and exhaust path are clear. In humid homes, slow drying is especially frustrating, but humidity never makes a blocked vent safe. For rental owners, tell us the appliance age, recent vent-cleaning history, and whether the problem began after a tenant change or renovation.
The fee covers the technician's trip, diagnosis, and basic repairs that take under 30 minutes. If a repair needs more time, parts, or specialized work, we give you a repair quote before proceeding. Repairs carry a 30-day labor & diagnostic warranty.
It may be an electrical, heating, ignition, or control fault, but a restricted vent must be ruled out first. Clean the lint screen and check the exhaust before calling.
